Professional Biography

In 2003, I graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor's degree in Religion and Physical Education and a K-12 teaching certificate.  I have also completed credits at Fuller Theological Seminary toward a Master's degree in Christian Leadership.  I taught at Unity Christian High School in Hudsonville, MI from 2003-2006.  I started teaching at Ontario Christian in 2006.   

Personal Biography

My wife, Betsy, and I married in 2004.  Our first son, Jack, was born in March of 2009.  Our second son, Arie, was born in April of 2011.  As a family, we enjoy playing with our boys, exercising, camping, and traveling to see our relatives in Michigan.  Personally, I love watching and playing sports, reading, and doing projects around our house.

Philosophical Biography

I am convinced that every person is created in the image of God and that the Bible is God's infallible word.  I am also conviced that God communicates mostly clearly through his word and so it is the foundation of a Christian's life.   One of my favorite verses is John 3:30: "He must become more important; I must become less important."
