What are the requirements to attend Ontario Christian School?
The basic requirement is that the families are Christian or Catholic and attending a church regularly. We also ask that the student is not on any academic or behavior discipline.
What curriculum do you use?
We do not use any one name (Abeka, Bob Jones) curriculum. We select the textbooks that will best equip our students and teach all curriculum from a Christian perspective.
How many students per class?
We use the following guideline:
K- 3 grades – 22 4-5 grades – 24 6th. grade – 25 7-8 grades – 28 9-12 – 25
Are your teachers accredited?
Yes, we do require that all teachers have a four year degree and are fully accredited .
What are the school hours?
K- 8th grade – 8:10 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. 9-12th. grade – 8:00 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.
Is Ontario Christian School accredited?
We are fully accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and CSI (Christian Schools International).
Do the students wear uniforms?
Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms from Dennis Uniform Company.
Do you require parents to do service hours?
We always encourage parents to be involved and offer many opportunities for service. However we do not require service hours.
Are you on a traditional school calendar year?
Yes, we start the day after Labor Day and end the middle of June.
Is lunch available for purchase daily?
Pre-School – 8th grade receive a monthly lunch menu and can purchase and pay for the days they order lunch. 4-8th. grade can purchase lunch daily from the ala carte menu also.
High School has a snack shack with lunch and snack items available every day for purchase.
