Introduction & Purpose
The purpose of the Ontario Christian School’s home-based education system, otherwise known as a Private Satellite Program (PSP), is to partner with Christian families who choose to educate their children at home, either part-time or full-time. Under the Personalized Education model, students may utilize the PSP program full-time in the home, or part-time while jointly attending some classes on campus. As an extension of the home, Ontario Christian will provide families with the necessary tools, support and guidance to enhance the training of their children, both academically and spiritually. Ontario Christian’s PSP is open to Christian or Catholic families with students from Kindergarten through grade 12. O.C. provides curriculum guidance while also maintaining all records and cumulative files. The Ontario Christian PSP is appropriate for families that are new to home education and seek more guidance as well as families that are experienced and confident in home education. The Private Satellite Program can be used by families anywhere in the world (Worldwide PSP), but there are special resources and opportunities for fellowship and group educational experiences for those who live locally.
