Ontario Christian Parents Association (OCPA)
Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, my servant will also be. My Father will honor the one who serves Me. - John 12:26
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! You are invited to join other members of the OC family and participate in a variety of fundraising and service based activities this year. If you are a parent or guardian of an Ontario Christian student you are already a member of the Parent Association. We are blessed to have you as a part of this organization.
The OCPA has a long history of supporting OC's faculty and students. Funds that are raised during the school year are used to pay for classroom supplies and special events which are not covered in the annual school budget.

SAVE THE DATE! APRIL 24, AT THE HIGH SCHOOL GYM - BINGO NIGHT IS BACK! It's a Western theme so pull out those cowboy boots and dust off that hat and come on out and have a great time with friends and family.
For this year our fundraisers will include:
SCRIP - An ongoing fund-raising program that provides an opportunity for you to earn money toward your tuition bill and raise funds for OC. Scrip is another word for gift cards. These gift cards can be used to pay for gas, groceries, entertainment, restaurants! The best part of this program is that you pay nothing extra for these cards and they are used for items you already buy. Everyone who participates in this program receives two coupons annually to put toward their tuition. This means the tuition paying parent saves money! To learn more about this program, go to Scrip.
MAGAZINE SALE - In February 2010, we partnered with QSP and hosted a magazine sale. Participating students will receive prizes and treats. OC receives 40% of all sales from this fundraiser.
INKJET and CELL PHONE RECYCLING - This is a very simple and profitable way of raising funds. Inkjet Cartridges can be brought to the school office and placed in the box marked "INKJET CARTRIDGES". Re-manufactured ink cartridges are not considered acceptable for this program.
Got an older cell phone? We will gladly receive cell phones that fit in the palm of your hand. Please place them in a plastic bag and they also may be brought to the school office. OC will receive up to $15.00 per cell phone that is donated. The phones are then refurbished and then donated to domestic organizations and third world countries. We are currently looking for a Chairperson to oversee this recycling program.
BOX TOP for EDUCATION - Kari Braun (909) 393-7186 Chairperson
We also collect box tops from all General Mills products. Each box top collected earns 10 cents for OC. These box tops can also be turned into the school office or to your child's teacher. For questions or to volunteer please contact Kari. Sign up to receive discounts, coupons and enter contests at the Box Top website www.btfe.com
ELEMENTARY HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
