Aree Ramos recently committed to join the Biola softball program once her high school career ends, and she brings some versatility with her.
Ramos is a utility player that combines her ability to hit with a great presence in the field to make a perfect weapon for the coaching staff.
She made all-league first team and All-CIF first team in her sophomore and junior years of High School and was also voted her team MVP.
"I chose Biola because it offers an education with Jesus as its foundation and that is everything that I could ask for," said Ramos. "I absolutely love the softball program and everything it has to offer. It makes me feel at home, and I feel that this is the path that God has put me on and I am very excited to see what he has in store for me at Biola!"
Ramos plans to major in biology and hopes to graduate from medical school and serve God through everything she does in her future.
"I predict that Areana will go down as one of the biggest powerhouse hitters in Biola softball history. We cannot wait for her to hit the dirt with team 23," said Coach Coleman.
Ramos graduates Ontario Christian High School in 2015, but still has one more season to do work for the Knights. She was team MVP her sophomore and junior year and will look to repeat this season.
Her first season suiting up at Freedom Field is 2016.
