Professional Biography
Greetings from the Ontario Christian High School Art Department.
To tell you a little about myself, I currently teach Art A, Art B, Ceramics I & II, & Drawing & Painting. I am an Ontario Christian alumnus. After High School, I received my BA in Art Education from CSUSB & my California Teaching Credential from the University of Redlands. Recently I achieved my Clear California Teaching Credential through the RIMS BTSA Program. 2012-2013 will be my 6th year teaching at Ontario Christian.
Personal Biography
I was born & raised in Redlands and currently live in Yucaipa. I have been married to my wife Melissa for 7 years (she teaches1st grade on the Ontario Christian elementary campus). We are members of Hope Protestant Reformed Church in Redlands. Two of my favorite hobbies are snowboarding & fishing (I am also the adviser for the OCHS Mountain Club) and I am looking forward to a cold and wet winter.
Philosophical Biography
I believe that Christian education is very important for children of believers. Looking back on my Christian education, I am truly thankful that my parents were able to give me this great gift. I am also a firm believer in Art Education with regards to providing a well-rounded education enabling students to have as many doors open for their future as possible. I know in my heart that God has called me to this position and I feel greatly blessed to be able to teach in a Christian school. I pray that He will use me as His tool to not only educate students in visual art but also to lead covenant children in the way of the Lord.
