I received my Bachelor’s in Science degree in child Development from California State University of Fullerton in 1999. I then continued on to Azusa Pacific University where I studied Elementary Education in multiple subjects. From there I taught 5th grade in a public school in Whittier for two years. God then had a different plan for me and lead me to Ontario Christian High School. I have been teaching Math in the High School since 2006. I received a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Curriculum with an emphasis in Mathematics in 2011.
I was born and raised in California. I graduated from Walnut High School. From there I moved out of my parents house to go on to college. I have been a member of CrossPoint Church since 1995. While there I served in the Youth Program for about 8 years and have been a part of the technical ministries which I am currently still doing. In 2005 a became involved with a non profit organization called Young Life where I was a leader for 3 years and am now serving on the Board. A little more about who I am and what I like to do. I am a very social person and enjoy hanging out with good friends. I especially love hanging out with my siblings and their children. I love water and snow sports. I love to hike, camp and go to the beach. One weird thing about me is I can sit in front of a puzzle for hours until it is done.
In Proverbs 9:10 it states that €œThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.€ Reading this verse as a Christian Teacher has inspired me to install the fear and knowledge of the Lord in the minds of my students. The first step in achieving this goal is to display my faith both inside and outside the classroom. I also believe it is important to demonstrate love and respect for each child that God has created. Every student God has created is special, whatever their ability, because they too bear God’s image and have a place in His plan. I am also very blessed to have opportunity to guide children in a way that will incorporate Christian commitment in their daily lives. This will obtain t he goal to teach the children of God how to live and not just make a living. My prayer is that each students faith will shine in their hearts and that they will share it with others as we wait our Savior’s return.
