I earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Colorado State University in 2003 and also earned a master’s degree in School Counseling from UNC in 2006. I went back to school in 2007 to earn a master’s degree in Education from the University of Phoenix and hold a Multiple Subject California Credential. I have many years of teaching experience and am currently teaching fourth grade.
I have been happily married to my “better half” Grant Powell since 2000 and have two dogs named Second Chance, and Roco. I love my local community and attend Crosspoint Church in Chino, CA. In my spare time I enjoy reading, exercising, and watching movies.
I believe God has given me the gift to educate and inspire our youth, and besides having a great passion for this, I know it is truly my purpose! I have organized and supervised many youth activites at my home church, Full Gospel Church of God in Colorado, and attend home and church Bible studies. I believe in praising God for all the blessings he gives. I thank him for working at Ontario Christian where educators and families work in community together to educate our students while giving God the glory that he deserves. I feel blessed to be here and look forward to a wonderful and fulfilling academic year.
