Personal Biography

I was raised in small towns in Vermont, but my adult life has been spent in large cities around the country. My three married children, all Christian school graduates, have settled in different places with their families – Dana Point, Palm Beach, and Brisbane, Australia. I spend any spare time visiting them and the rest of my family, who are also sprinkled around the country. I enjoy being active outdoors.

Philosophical Biography

As educators in a Christian school, we are called to model Christ to our students and families. This calling means understanding that God’s Word is central to all we do. By using a Biblical narrative integrated into learning, students from various faith backgrounds can follow common language and a mindset that God is already in everything. As His image-bearers, it is how we respond to His creation that brings Him glory. It is our job as Christian educators to expose Him in all we do. When we focus on integrating our faith and sharing our faith walk with our students, we can help them make Biblical connections to learning and living in the world to honor and glorify God. Our work should be about revealing Christ to students through discipleship, letting them know that they, no matter what their age, can make an impact for His Kingdom.
