I currently hold a B.A. in liberal arts and a masters in counseling psychology from California Baptist University. I began working with adolescents from 1996-1999 in the capacity of counselor. I then began teaching in 2000 at Fontana Christian School as a middle school history teacher and a vice principal. From 2004-2007 I accepted a teaching position at Bloomington Christian School as a middle school history teacher, varsity basketball coach, and middle school football coach. In 2007 I was blessed to accept a position at Ontario Christian High School as a psychology and history teacher.
I was married in 1993 and have two daughters ages 17 and 12. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, guitar, and traveling.
I believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God and that God is the true authority and reveals himself through his word. I believe that the learner should utilize all experiences to learn and solve problems. My role as a teacher is to assist, advise, and guide students to seek answers to perplexing questions. The curricular focus as a social science educator is to assist students in identifying problems of controversy and conflict and to identify God’s role in addressing social issues. Methodology includes a student centered approach. This method helps students in a democratic society to make choices in the social, political, and economic realm.
