)1)Tell me some recent highlights regarding our PSP and online programs.

I truly enjoy serving our PSP families by providing educational options for their students. In addition to our online and on campus class opportunities, we have added monthly field trips and started a weekly Classical Education class. This class is taught by April Oliva and is based on using classic literature within historical context to educate our upper elementary students through rich language and culture. Steeped in Biblical truths, our students are immersed in hands-on activities and interaction with the goal of teaching them how to learn. Students who learn though this method on average score higher on tests and can think logically. I look forward to seeing this program grow!

2)Tell me about your trip to Germany?

This past fall I experienced a dream come true as my husband and I went to Germany and France to retrace the steps my dad took when he fought his way across Europe in WWII. Using his diary from the war, we were able to collect sand from the shores of Omaha Beach in Normandy where he landed on D-Day, walk through various small towns he helped in liberating and see the memorial in Belgium to men like my dad who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He dedicated his life to Christ on Omaha Beach and it was a privilege to stand there 71 years later and thank the Lord for protecting my father.

3)Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.
I collect stones from places we travel and write a word on them to remind me of the trip or a lesson God taught me. I actually found a heart shaped stone on Omaha Beach…”Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
